PRICES, MEMBERSHIP & BOOKING

New members are most welcome. To join, please print and send us the completed application form together with your cheque.  Alternatively, come to the first concert and join at the door.

Subscriptions for the 2011-2012 season have been kept at the same level as last year - £45 for an individual member and £15 for a student member on production of a student card.  Admission for schoolchildren is free.

Guests

All members are issued with a guest ticket, which can be used by a guest to obtain entry to one concert at the concessionary rate of £5.

Non-members

Non-members are very welcome at all concerts, as are students and schoolchildren. Tickets for non-members cost £11 per concert and £3 for students (on production of a student card).  Children in primary and secondary education are welcomed free of charge. Tickets will be on sale on-line from DGArts website, or by visiting or telephoning the DGArts centre (Midsteeple, High Street, Dumfries, DG1 2BH, tel: 01387 253383), and are also available at the door. It is also possible to purchase tickets in advance by contacting the President or Treasurer.

Venue

All concerts are held at St John’s Church, Lovers Walk, Dumfries and begin at 7.30 pm. During the interval, refreshments are available in the Church Hall, along with the opportunity to meet fellow concertgoers who share an enjoyment and appreciation of music.

E mail addresses

Occasionally, it is necessary to communicate quickly with members – for example, if a concert is cancelled or postponed for any reason. Also, the committee often receives news of concerts and ticket availability which members may wish to know about. We encourage members to supply an e mail address; it will only be used for the purposes specified and only if you give permission.

In alternate years, the Club sponsors an extra concert for young musicians of Dumfries and Galloway who are studying to become professional musicians. The next concert will take place in 2013. The committee would be pleased to hear of any potential performers.
